  5. I have always heard this and know that it is true.....
    A hospital may provide a nursing student with a scholarship provided that the student agrees to work for the hospital for a period of time after graduation.
    Call Clackson, Alegent Health or a Nursing school near you for infomation.
    I know of someone in Lincoln NE that went thru the same situation....can't hurt to find out for sure.

  6. If you're accepted into nursing school the Financial Aid Office will provide you with a list of hospitals where this is a possibility. Some of these hospitals can afford to do this because they are so short staffed that the state is willing to pay half of what they offer you. The only problem people in my program have run into is that some of them were not given the jobs they anticipated to hold up their end of the contract after graduation. They got several thousand dollars of their education paid for, but they didn't have the job security they anticipated.

  7. this is usually ture for post grad studies. hopitals dont shell out money untill you can start working. these are work as you train type programs to fill needs in specialties such as peds, burn unit ect... they pay for your training and you agree to stay with them for so many years.
